Cookies policy

This page explains how network-optimization.digital uses cookies and similar storage. For broader data practices, see our privacy notice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site. Local storage entries may also remember preferences such as cookie consent. They help the site function or help us understand how pages are used.
Types we use
Essential cookies remember your cookie consent choice and keep basic site functions working. These do not require optional consent beyond what the banner records.
Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are visited so we can improve content about our close-audit work. They load only if you accept optional cookies.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| network-optimization_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies | 1 year (localStorage) | Network Optimization |
| _ga | Distinguishes visitors for aggregate analytics (only if accepted) | 2 years | Google Analytics |
| _ga_* | Persists analytics session state (only if accepted) | 2 years | Google Analytics |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on our cookie banner. Rejecting optional cookies does not block browsing, forms, or reading engagement pages. You can also clear site data in your browser settings or block cookies entirely; essential consent storage may reappear until you choose again.
Third-party cookies
If you accept analytics, Google may set cookies subject to Google’s own policies. Embedded fonts from Google Fonts are typically requested without advertising cookies, but network requests to Google still occur when fonts load.
Impact of disabling
Disabling essential consent storage may cause the banner to reappear. Disabling analytics simply means we receive less aggregate information about page usefulness — site features remain available.
